In 2015, NOVUS Architecture completed a new 3,657-square-foot high-end menswear retail store for Stefano Ricci at the Shops at Crystals in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2017, Stefano Ricci hired our firm again to develop a new 3,250-square-foot store at the brand-new Wynn Plaza on the Las Vegas Strip. The Stefano Ricci projects are unique and interesting because all materials, except steel studs and drywall, are shipped to the U.S. from Florence, Italy, where the natural materials are sourced and fabricated. Our team conducts a field survey of the space with exact dimensions for the Italian Designer, who then begins to lay out the store design in great (metric) detail before starting the design of their beautiful millwork. At the beginning of construction, the general contractor creates an exact white box with a level 5 finish before installing the natural stone flooring and custom millwork once they have arrived from Italy. Stefano Ricci sent an Italian crew to the site during construction to oversee the U.S. union tradespeople to ensure unsurpassed quality. We’ve had the pleasure of meeting Stefano Ricci and his sons on a few occasions and it’s always a delightful experience.
