SPRITZ RESTAURANT & BAR at THE VENETIAN
The Las Vegas Sands Corporation commissioned NOVUS Architecture to design a new poolside restaurant at the Venetian Las Vegas, which is themed after Malibu, California. The project involves outfitting the existing kitchen with new equipment and demolishing a part of the space to make way for a new 15-seat outdoor bar. The restaurant will offer a total of 88 seats under a large powder-coated tube steel canopy, which will provide shade to patrons throughout the day. The pool area will be separated from the restaurant using raised planters and elevated daybeds. The design aims to create a "natural chic" Malibu vibe through a combination of comfortable, colorful, and elegant finishes with modern lines. To ensure comfort during hot summer days, eight Haiku ceiling fans from the Big Ass Fan Co. are suspended from the steel trellis to provide constant airflow. The finishes for the project include encaustic floor tile, mosaic tile column wraps, natural stone wall cladding, colorful draperies, and jute rope accents. The project was completed in April 2020.
